I am currently building a Tesla coil.  Any suggestions where to source primary power supply transformers?

Visit a local neon sign shop for your power supply transformer.  The electric utility company that services your area might also be able to provide you with a high tension transformer or at least point you in the right direction to obtain one.

A source of good information about Tesla coil construction is the Tesla Coil Builders Association newsletter (TCBA NEWS).  While the The Tesla Coil Builders Association has shut down operations and published the last copy of its quarterly newsletter, all back issues of the TCBA NEWS are still available from Tesla Universe.
